What is baby floating? Baby floating is a gentle method in which your baby floats in warm, gently moving water. This technique encourages your baby's natural movement and relaxation, supports the development of motor skills and strengthens the bond between you and your baby.

How often should my baby participate in floating? The frequency depends on the age and individual needs of your baby. Many parents choose 1-2 sessions per week to support the positive effects of floating in the long term.

Why do babies sleep so well after a jacuzzi? The secret is simple. Hydromassage has a gentle mechanical effect on the baby's skin. It normalizes muscle tone, improves blood circulation and saturates the small body with oxygen - comparable to a long walk in the fresh air. The bubbles have a light massaging effect on the abdomen, reducing gases and normalizing digestion. Thanks to these effects, babies sleep peacefully, as neither external nor internal processes disturb them.

Can I leave my baby alone during the session and come back later? A parent or caregiver must accompany the baby the entire time in the spa.

What are the benefits of floating for my baby? Water is essential to life and has spiritual meanings such as cleansing, protection and healing. The healing effects of water nourish, cleanse and soothe our bodies. Babies benefit from the holistic and therapeutic effects of float therapy and infant massage. Muscular strength is improved by the gentle resistance of the water, as is lung capacity as the infant breathes against the pressure. Balance and coordination improve as the baby moves more consciously in the water. Float therapy also has a wonderful effect on digestion; babies can relax, loosen their muscles and support the natural flow of their bowel movements. Parents are often pleasantly surprised when their little one sleeps beautifully after a float/massage session, while also noticing improvements in constipation and gas.

My baby has just received a vaccination. Can we still attend the session? The baby cannot attend our sessions within 24 hours of the vaccination. It is also important that the baby does not have a fever or elevated temperature afterwards.

How long does a floating session last? A floating session usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. This time is optimal to ensure a relaxing and developmental experience.

Does my baby need special clothing or equipment for floating? No, your baby does not need any special equipment for floating. We provide safe pool diapers. We recommend bringing a pacifier if your baby uses one. Your baby may need to breastfeed or bottle feed, so bring the necessary feeding items. Babies may get hungry while floating!

At what age can babies participate in floating? The activity can be started from around the second week of life, provided the navel has completely healed. We recommend the jacuzzi sessions until the baby begins to sit upright.

What are the benefits of infant massage? Infant massage is widely practiced in many Eastern cultures and traditions. It is often used to strengthen the bond between parent and child, promote the baby's social and psychological development, and help manage postpartum depression. Infant massage also improves blood circulation, relaxes the nervous system, and regulates problems such as feeding, gas, and sleep. Infant massage is an excellent way for fathers, grandparents, or other caregivers to build a close bond with the baby.

Is baby floating safe? Yes, baby floating is safe when done in a controlled, warm and calm environment. At Goldcoast Baby Spa, we use specially adapted water conditions and experienced professionals to ensure your baby's safety and wellbeing.
